PANAMA CITY - A police officer was dispatched to Charlie Coram’s Place on West 23rd Street Monday morning after a woman flashed her breasts and knocked the cap off a male patron.

According to a police report, a man and his family were eating in the restaurant after 8 a.m. when he noticed a woman exposing her breasts. This upset his girlfriend, who got into an argument with the woman. The man tried to get involved, and the suspect slapped his hat off of his head.

Police arrested the woman for battery. She was released later with a notice to appear in court.

  A Bay County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a house because man’s friend’s daughter and her “piece of (expletive deleted)” boyfriend stole a wallet, according to an incident report. The deputy attempted to interview the man but he was very intoxicated. He also tried to interview the man’s friend but she was so drunk she could not remember her daughter’s name, the deputy wrote.

When he asked the woman her last name she became belligerent, the deputy wrote.

When he asked the woman her birthdate she gave him the finger “in an obscene manner.”

The deputy left  but on his way to his vehicle the man ran outside saying that the woman only meant that the deputy was “number one to her.”

It’s hard to be inconspicuous when you’re traveling 60 miles per hour over the speed limit.

That didn’t stop one Panama City man, who has been charged with reckless driving after being caught zooming down Tyndall Parkway at a leisurely 110 MPH.

Additionally, he was charged with driving without a motorcycle license, improper/unsafe equipment because of the lack of rearview mirrors and driving with a suspended or revoked license without knowledge.

A man told Bay County Sheriff’s deputies he was ready to prosecute after someone dumped 10 bags of trash into his work dumpster. The construction manager then got into the dumpster and retrieved documents from the trash, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies said in a news release. The deputies got addresses and identification off the documents and are attempting to contact the suspects.

Information is provided by the Bay County Sheriff s Office on people arrested on felony charges through 9 a.m. July 24. Those arrested can contact The News Herald if charges are dropped or if they are acquitted. Addresses are those given by the defendant during the arrest.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office helicopter had a midair collision with a seagull Wednesday. Deputies were flying east over Panama City Beach near Club La Vela when the fowl crashed through the left side windscreen, deputies wrote in an incident report. The helicopter, known as Air 1, had been assisting the Beach Patrol in locating distressed swimmers and rip currents.

The pilot, Sgt. Ken Smiley, determined that the helicopter was still air worthy and flew it back to the Panama City - Bay County International Airport where he landed it without further incident. The seagull was found in the rear passenger compartment of the helicopter. It will cost about $5,000 to repair the left side windscreen, deputies wrote. No one, other than the seagull, was injured in the incident.
