A Cedar Grove woman met a homeless man at her work and gave him a ride to a vacant house, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies wrote in an incident report.

The man then stole a bicycle from the neighborhood and used it to go to the woman’s home at about midnight. The man asked if he could stay the night with her and she said yes. However, she told him to get rid of the stolen bicycle. When she awoke the next morning she was missing $50, the driver’s side of her car seat had been moved and her gas tank was low.

The woman told deputies she suspected the homeless person had taken the car for the night and returned it the next morning without her permission or knowledge.

Deputies found the stolen bicycle but have been unable to locate the bike owner or the homeless man.

A fight erupts over pizza leftovers.

A man, upset that his girlfriend’s friend ate his leftover pizza, punches the refrigerator and demands the return of the “dolphin-shaped pipe” he previously gave his girlfriend.

The woman declined, saying it was a gift, and instead “removed a Marilyn Monroe picture from the wall and told him he could have that gift back if he wanted it.”

The man stomped the picture, breaking the glass, and in the ensuing scuffle the woman cut her arm. The man is arrested for battery.

A Bay County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over a speeding car on US 231 and noticed several suspicious incidents. Someone threw a small white object out of the vehicle after the deputy pulled in behind the car, the deputy wrote in an incident report. Also, the vehicle’s license plate did not match up with the vehicle. Then the deputy noticed the strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The deputy searched the passenger of the car and found a plastic bag with Cannabis and a “drug smoking pipe” inside the man’s right shoe. He was arrested on drug charges. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and without the proper insurance and registration, the deputy wrote in an incident report.

A Callaway resident is going to be super mad when he gets back home. Not only is he being evicted but the landlord cleaned out his apartment and discovered the man’s drug stash, according to an incident report from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. The landlord called deputies and turned the drug pipes and “other drug paraphernalia” over to them. The items were collected and turned over to evidence control where they will be destroyed, deputies wrote.

The great golf cart heist

While searching for a stolen all terrain vehicle a Bay County Sheriff’s Deputy found it and a stash of (possibly) stolen merchandise. The items were on State Avenue near a power station, the deputy wrote in an incident report. Along with the ATV the deputy found a small motorcycle, a 10 gallon gas can and a golf cart. A neighbor reported that he had seen several teenagers driving the golf cart up and down his street.

Sometimes it’s best to just keep on driving

Sometimes, one man found out this weekend, it is just better to keep on driving.

A man told Bay County Sheriff’s deputies he was on his way home from work when he turned a corner and watched a white male cross right in front of him.

The driver “felt that the man should not have tried to cross the road in front of him … and the man saw him and tried to cross the road anyway.”

On top of that, the other man, “yelled something at” the complainant.

The complainant decided to back his car up and preceded to “ask him what he said.”

“At that time the man pulled a small handgun out of his pocket and displayed it toward the complainant. He also told the complainant he would kill him.”

The complainant drove away, and conceded that perhaps he should not have backed up in the first place.
