Outlaws VS. Hell’s Angels

May 6th, 2008, 8:41 am by Brady Calhoun

A member of the Hell’s Angel motorcycle club was selling T-shirts on Panama City Beach when he was confronted by members of the Outlaw Motorcycle Club, deputies with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office wrote in an incident report. The Outlaws consisted of three men on motorcycles and a fourth man in a gold Lincoln. A woman wearing a property of Outlaw vest was also with them, deputies wrote.

Each of the Outlaws pulled guns out of their pants while the Hell’s Angel held a knife, the Hell’s Angel said. The Outlaws told the man to leave their territory or they would kill him, the Hell’s Angel said. The Outlaws then took the man’s shirts and left, deputies wrote.

The case is under investigation.

You smell like trouble

May 5th, 2008, 2:26 pm by mcazalas

May 4:

A deputy on the search for two suspects in a battery case sniffed them out in record time Sunday.

Deputy S. Bell started off following his common sense as he trailed the pair, but ended up following his nose.

Bell saw a man wanted in connection with a battery near a residence Sunday, but the man took off running before the deputy could get to him.

Bell left his vehicle and searched a neighbor’s backyard, but could not find the man. He then went to the door of the residence and knocked.

The second suspect in the battery answered, and was placed under arrest, but there was no sign of the first man Bell spotted.

Bell asked the man in custody - and his wife - if they knew where the other man was and both said no.

“They both agreed to allow me to look inside their home,” Bell wrote. “In one of the bedrooms I entered I could smell a strong presence of alcohol. I then found the suspect hiding behind the bed.”

He was placed under arrest.

Warning, this isn’t for the squeamish.

Bay County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a Panama City Beach Condo where an intoxicated individual had broken a flower pot. The deputies when up to the man’s apartment and noticed a broken window. They entered the apartment and found him naked washing blood off his hands. The man was told to put pants on and that he needed medical treatment for his hands.

But instead of letting the deputies help him the man waved his bloody hands in their face and was flinging blood around the room, deputies wrote in an incident report. Deputies finally got a towel on the man’s hands and escorted him to the parking lot to wait on an ambulance.

The man was very “mouthy,” deputies wrote, and kept saying that since he lived there he could break whatever he wanted. The case was forwarded to the State Attorney’s Office.

BB hunter

April 30th, 2008, 8:55 am by Brady Calhoun

An 82-year-old Panama City Beach man with a BB gun is a hazard to his neighbor’s property, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies wrote in an incident report.

The man used the gun to hunt squirrels and birds in his neighborhood but instead of hitting game the man usually nails a nearby shed on someone else’s property.

“This officer pointed out to (the shooter) that his aim was a little off,” deputies wrote in the incident report.

Deputies told the man that if he didn’t stop hunting in a residential neighborhood his BB gun would be seized.

A Panama City mom wanted to solve a dispute between her son and another teenager. So she went to the other teenager’s house, yelled at him and showed him the butt of a gun in her pants, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies wrote in an incident report. The  kid’s father was not amused and called the cops.

The mom was told she could now be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The mom said she was mad and didn’t think about the repercussions, deputies wrote. However, the teen did not wish to press charges and the matter was dropped.

I bet he walked home

A man took a cab from the CVS on U.S. 98 to Five Guys Burger and Fries in Pier Park on Panama City Beach. The man said he was picking up his check and would be able to pay the fare. However, the manager was not there and the man did not receive any money, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies wrote in an incident report.

The man told the cabbie not to worry and that if he would drive them to his sister’s workplace on the west end of Panama City Beach he could get the money for the fare from her. Except, she wasn’t at work. The cabbie told the rider that he was calling the cops. The rider ran down Front Beach Road and then onto the beach.

I’ll kill you, wait wrong number

April 23rd, 2008, 9:19 am by Brady Calhoun

S. Brady Calhoun

A man called a Southport woman, told her, “I will kill you,” and then hung up, according to an incident report from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim did not think much of the late night call and went back to sleep. The next morning she returned the call and spoke with a woman. The woman told the victim that her boyfriend made the call and that she was sorry. Then the boyfriend (who had the same voice as the “I will kill you” man) got on the line and told the victim he had the wrong number.

Deputies believe the man may have intended to call a Panama City resident.
