Things almost got riotous Saturday night at the Chipola Mart in Marianna. Jackson County Sheriff’s officials say they spotted three men, Ricky Wynn Jr., Gary Turner and Nickalist Lang Jr.  loitering in the parking lot. When deputies attempted to speak Wynn he “lunged towards a partially open car window and threw a medicine bottle inside,” deputies wrote in a news release.

The bottle contained crack cocaine.

Wynn was charged with possession of a controlled substance, resisting officer without violence and tampering with evidence, deputies wrote.

During the incident Lang began yelled obscenities at the officers in an attempt to keep them from performing their duties and to incite other people to obstruct the officers, deputies wrote. Lang was charged with attempting to incite a riot, resisting an officer without violence and disorderly conduct, deputies wrote.

A Callaway woman had mysterious charges on her debit card made by someone in Amsterdam, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies wrote in an incident report. The woman went to her bank where they deleted the charges. Everything was fine until Tuesday when the woman received a letter from the Netherlands that contained 16 marijuana seeds. The letter was addressed to the woman but she said she does not know anyone who lives there, deputies wrote. The letter and the seeds were taken to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and placed into evidence, deputies wrote. The case is under investigation.
