Drunk woman deficates in squad car
June 30th, 2009, 12:27 pm by jmiltimoreA woman was arrested on several charges after she was found allowing her juvenile daughter to operate a motor vehicle without a valid license, according to authorities.
The 42-year-old Fountain woman was pulled over on Woodland Road east of State 77 when friends of the daughter called authorities and the said the girl’s mother was intoxicated and struck a tree on her way to pick the girl up, according to a Bay County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
The woman had several cans of Bud Light in the vehicle and was dumping one out the window as the deputy approached, the report said. The woman was arrested when she reportedly refused to answer questions and became beligerent. The woman was placed into the back of the deputy’s squad car, whe she “urinated and defecated on herself,” the report said.
The juvenile, who had been behind the wheel, was “distressed” and “clearly frightened” by the episode. The girl said her mother “gets really drunk every weekend” and becomes physically abusive when intoxicated, the report said. The Department of Children and Families was contacted and the girl was taken to her uncle’s residence, the report said.
The woman was charged with permitting an unlicense minor to operate a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a crash involving damages, child neglect without great harm, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and resisting an officer without violence, the report said.
‘Burglar’ runs up $150 in adult calls
June 29th, 2009, 1:48 am by jmiltimoreDeputies responded to a call of a burglary on Beach Drive on Friday afternoon and were met by a 73-year-old woman who claimed someone broke into her home and made $150 in adult entertainment phone calls, according to a Bay County Sheriff’s Office report.
Nothing was missing and no evidence of forced entry could be found, the report said.
It was determined the last time the calls were placed was on June 13, when the woman’s husband “was at the residence by himself,” the report said.
The deputy asked the woman if it was possible her husband made the calls, and she said “he was too old” to make such calls, the report said.
In reviewing the telephone bills, it was determined the woman “didn’t report any other calls other than when her husband was in town,” the report said.
The woman was given a case number and told to contact the Sheriff’s Office if obtained any new information on this case. The case was inactivated pending new leads.

BCSO searching for sex offender
June 11th, 2009, 4:42 pm by mcazalasThe Bay County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in finding two men wanted for unrelated offenses, including one who failed to register as a sexual offender.
BCSO public information officer Ruth Sasser said a warrant has been issued for Matthew Timothy Bennett, 27, for failing to register as a sex offender. He is believed to be in the St. Andrews area.
Sasser said Bennett drives a black Dodge Dakota mini-truck with a Michigan tag, AEL 8094. Anyone with information about Bennett can call the Sheriff’s Office at 747-4700 or CrimeStoppers at 785-TIPS.
In an unrelated case, investigators are looking for Travis Sinclair Thomas, 29, of Thomaston, Ga. He also goes by the name “Polo.” Thomas is wanted on charges of robbery by snatching, burglary and grand theft.
Men duel with stick and shovel over married woman
May 27th, 2009, 5:39 pm by jmiltimoreAuthorities were called to a Gulf Drive disturbance Tuesday and met by a 32-year-old man who claimed he had been attacked by the husband of a 38-year-old woman he was sleeping with, according to a Bay County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
The complainant told deputies he had been sleeping with the woman for three months and recently discovered she was pregnant. The complainant told deputies the woman’s husband ”showed up looking for a fight,” striking the complainant with a stick and attempting to run him over with his vehicle.
Deputies contacted the suspect, 29, who told them he went to the complainant’s house looking for a fist fight because the man “is continually hitting on his wife.” The suspect said he only took up a stick to defend himself after being struck with a shovel, and showed deputies on abrasion on his chest.
The suspect was not placed under arrest for lack of probable cause, the report said. The complainant, who is insisting charges be filed, was told the incident would be sent to the State Attorney’s Office for review.
No I am not a sex offender

Th 28-year-old came to the sheriff’s office with his mother to report that someone had placed sex offender fliers in his neighbors mailboxes. The fliers say that the victim is a sex offender, deputies wrote in an incident report. He is not.
He ain’t heavy he’s my brother

The man chased the suspect out of his house, caught him, and held him until police arrived, according to an incident report from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies then went to the suspect’s house where they found his brother.
The man’s brother said the suspect had been convicted of burglary before and was just released from a Kentucky prison. The suspect had been in trouble since he was 13, had just moved in and appeared to be stealing again, the brother said. The suspect had several items on him, like a watch and a Nintendo DS and a laptop, that were probably stolen, the brother said. He added that he would make sure nothing was moved in his brother’s room until deputies could get a search warrant.
