Daniel Russell of Fountain did not like it when a neighbor told him it would be a couple of days before he could work on Russell’s 1993 Red Dodge Ram. So, the 59-year-old set the truck on fire, investigators with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office said in an incident report.

Russell’s neighbor told him he would fix the truck but that was not good enough, the neighbor told investigators. Russell began yelling and cursing at him and the neighbor rode away on his horse, the incident report stated. A short time later the neighbor watched as Russell poured something on the truck. Then watched the truck “suddenly light up on fire.”

The truck eventually exploded.

Investigators questioned Russell about the fire but he was “highly intoxicated” and his speach was slurred. Russell was charged with arson and he was released on his own recognizance.
