Charles Risinger, Jr., was convicted of Aggravated Battery Wednesday, the State Attorney’s Office said in a news release. The six-member jury deliberated for 37 minutes before finding Risinger, 43, of Mexico Beach, guilty of the April 25, 2008, aggravated battery of David Martin Slayer. Sentencing is set for November 9, 2008. Risinger faces the possibility of 15 years in prison.
