What a catch

May 8th, 2008, 9:00 am · 2 Comments · posted by Brady Calhoun

A man fishing in a stream near Hauser Road snagged quite a catch, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies wrote in an incident report. The man hooked a plastic bag full of what he believed to be illicit drugs. The man threw it back but called deputies to the scene.

The deputies recovered the bag and found more than $1,500 worth of marijuana and cocaine. The drugs weighed 435.8 grams and are now in evidence control at the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. This incident was listed under found property so the owner of the drugs should contact the Sheriff’s Office about claiming the items.

Yeah! I can just see some idiot going to the police station to claim his/her bag of pot and cocaine. I did get a good laugh from the story, and we all know how much laughter helps cure many ailments.

    Thanks for the medical assistance.
