Bay County Sheriff’s deputies say Willie Scarborough, 36, needed a light and got one by breaking into a vehicle.
On Wednesday shortly before 9 p.m. Scarborough broke into a parked vehicle on Sunset Drive, deputies wrote in an incident report. The owner of the car and a witness chased Scarborough and detained him until deputies arrived. Scarborough told deputies he was not stealing anything but was looking for a lighter inside the vehicle. He was charged with burglary.
