“It all begins with a rumor,” Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Ruth Sasser said during a press conference Thursday.

This time, the rumor tracked back to one student who investigators said wrote a threatening note in code. Another student has also been suspended in connection to the case and other students may be involved, Superintendent James McCalister confirmed Thursday.
